My daughter is in a wonderful twirling group called the Spurettes. This is a great way for a child to boost her self esteem or to even make life long freind, and to have fun learning something. They twirl, dance, and do gymnastics. It is also not very expensive and most of the cost are helped by all of the fundraisers they do. This year they are planning on going to Dayton Beach, Florida for Nationals and to Disney. I was in this group when I was younger and stayed until I was 18. This is not really known to many, but just like cheerleading you can earn a scholarship to help with college if you become a majorette for the band.
